TYPE: Cool season annual grass seed mixture.

ADAPTATION: Very cold tolerant and will tolerate acid soils. Will grow where rye and ryegrass are adapted. SuperGraze is excellent for the Lower South and may be used in some grazing programs in the Northeast.

USES: Grazing for all classes of livestock or for hay, silage or green chop. Provides grazing from fall to early summer. Can be sod seeded in dormant warm season pastures for cool season forage production. Reduces mid-winter hay needs.

BENEFITS: Under favorable growing conditions, SuperGraze will establish and provide grazing in 30 to 45 days after planting. Extends the grazing season because it grows at a lower winter temperature than other cool season grasses. Will provide grazing from fall through early summer.

NUTRITION: Crude Protein – 15 to 17% Total Digestible Nutrients – 60 to 70% Environmental conditions and management practices will determine individual results.

PLANTING:
Rate:
100 lbs. drilled or 125 lbs. broadcast per acre
Date:
Mid September to mid November an annual legume such as arrowleaf clover, which produces growth in late spring, can be added to this mixture to extend the grazing season and add quality in the spring.

MANAGEMENT:
For best results plant into a well-prepared firm seedbed at a depth of ¼” deep. SuperGraze can also be sod-seeded into closely grazed or clipped warm season pastures. Lime soils to 6.0 pH and follow soil test for N, P, K for best results. SuperGraze will respond well to high rates of fertilizer, especially nitrogen.

GRAZING:
Continuous graze or for best results, rotational graze with stocking rates that increase to match the growth rate of the available forage.
